Dr. Andy Roark

Dr. Andy spoke to us last year at #PSO2015 and we were wowed by his insight, his humor, and the joy he expressed when discussing his work with pets and people. We are therefore overwhelmed that he’s coming back to join us for a second year!

Dr. Andy is a practicing veterinarian, international speaker, author and media personality; he is also an award-winning columnist for DVM360, and writes for a variety of other publications. Dr. Roark’s popular Facebook page has over 180,000 fans, he is the host of the popular YouTube show Cone of Shame, and his humorous educational videos have been viewed over a million times.

Dr. Andy has received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and has been named Practice Management Speaker of the Year at NAVC, one of the world’s largest veterinary conferences. His improv comedy team won the Alchemy Comedy 2015 March Madness tournament, and in 2013 and 2015, practices where Dr. Roark works were named as finalists in the American Animal Hospital Association’s Practice of the Year Contest.

Dr. Sue Ettinger
Specialist in Veterinary Oncology

Dr. Susan Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr Sue is a boarded veterinary medical cancer specialist. As a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), she is one of approximately 300 board-certified veterinary specialists in medical oncology in North America. Dr. Ettinger is currently the head of the Oncology Department at the Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, New York. Dr Sue’s mission is promoting awareness and education about cancer in pets.

Also known as “Dr. Sue Cancer Vet,” she is a book author, radio co-host, and an advocate of early cancer detection and raising cancer awareness. Dr Sue is the co-author of the Second Edition of The Dog Cancer Survival Guide and co-host of The Pet Cancer Vet, an internet radio show on www.radiopetlady.com. Dr. Ettinger is a Certified Veterinary Journalist, accredited by the American Society of Veterinary Journalists (ASVJ). Since 2011, Dr. Ettinger has also been a regular contributor to the blog, DogCancerBlog.com.

Danielle K. Lambert is a veterinary practice manager turned social media coach. In 2012, she founded SnoutSchool.com to teach veterinary hospitals about communicating, educating and connecting with veterinary clients via social media. Danielle’s practical social media tips have been shared in Veterinary Team Brief, and she has spoken on social media for the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) and Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA).

In addition to her work as a speaker and consultant, Danielle is the marketing director and social media manager for DrAndyRoark.com and Twitter manager for the Companion Animal Parasite Council.

Holly Cook

Holly Cook founded Special Pet Care Services, LLC in 1996. Since that time, she has become an award winning pet sitter/dog walker; winning PSI’s Pet Sitter of the Year in 2004. She is a certified K9 Obedience Instructor and specializes in puppy behavior modification. She received FEMA certification for Animals In Disasters and volunteers with WASART, where she is continuing her training. She is also a published author with many articles being published in pet sitting trade magazines and websites.

She currently owns/operates her business in 3 states; Michigan, Washington and Tennessee. She has 9 independent contractors and one amazing business manager.

Holly has spoken on a local and national level about pet sitting, marketing, donation drives, disaster relief as well as Compassion Fatigue.

She is the Founder and Managing Director of Avalon Communications, a full-service public relations firm based in Austin Texas. Her main responsibility is getting her clients TV, Internet and radio interviews and appearances.

Kristyn regularly works with many media outlets, including Good Morning America, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Television, CityLine TV, The New York Times, and all major North American magazines.
